| Any windows that
are less than 60 inches off of the landing floor, around the perimeter
of the stairway landing shall be tempered glass.
There is a good chance that more accidents are going to happen below 60
inches than above 60 inches. Someone moving a large piece of furniture
up the stairway or someone tripping or falling down into these areas.
Tempered glass is designed to break into small pieces, lowering the
victim's chances of greater physical harm or injuries.
