Adhesive - Glue And Building Materials
 


I don't recommend using adhesives on every part of the stairway, but I do recommend using them to attach your stair treads to the stair stringers.

As you can see in the picture above, I spread a liberal amount of construction glue on top of the stairs stringer. You can use as much as you want to, but there is no need to get carried away.

If you look close enough in the picture above, you will notice that I glued the quarter round 1 - 1/8 inch piece of plywood down to the concrete.

I'm not worried about the adhesive separating from the concrete or wood in the future, because the stair tread and small plywood strips, should hold everything in place.
