Finished stairs would include any stairway that was
completed. In other words, the stairs will need to be painted, stained,
carpeted and able to pass a building inspection, by an experienced
building inspector.
Stairway Finishing Tip: Sometimes it's easier to paint
or stain individual parts of the stairs like balusters, banisters, newel
posts, treads and risers.
After the stair parts have been stained or painted, they can be
assembled and any touch ups necessary, can be made after completion.
