The word framing could provide us with a variety of
different meanings, but we're only going to focus on one. It's the
assembly process used to construct a buildings floors, walls, ceilings,
roof and stairway, using metal and construction grade lumber. Framing
also includes the placement of structural components like posts, beams
and engineered roof systems.
For example, if I referred to framing a house , this
would include building the shell of the entire home. Other construction
workers would be used to install the plumbing, electrical, heating, air
conditioning, windows, doors, roofing, siding, wallboards, plaster,
flooring and painting.
In the picture above, the floor and walls have been framed and the next
phase of the construction framing, will be assembling the roof.
