A landing tread would be any tread near or in a landing.
The picture below provides you with an excellent example of a stair
landing tread, directly in front of the landing. A landing tread can
also be a tread or a number of treads between two landings.
It's extremely rare to find a set of stairs with two
landings, using multiple steps, between landings. Every once in a while,
I will find them on a custom home, but rarely will you find them in
tract builds homes.
