A planer is used to smooth the surface or flatten the
surface of a piece of wood. Planers come in different shapes and sizes
and they're one of the most important woodworking tools that a carpenter
owns.
Handheld Power Planers
I've been using a hand-held power planer for quite some time. They work
perfect for straightening framed walls, ceilings and floor joist. When I
first started working as a carpenter, no one owned one of these tools,
but today it seems like every carpenter has one. |
