A protractor is a semi circle or full circle tool used to
create angles. In the stair building industry, protractors are mainly
used by designers, architects and engineers. Protractors come in a
variety of different shapes and sizes.
As a stair builder, I used other tools for marking or
measuring angles on the job site, but whenever I was designing a room
addition with a set of stairs, I would use protractors to check
measurements in angles.
