Stringerless stairs would be any stairway that was built without
stringers for structural support. This could include a variety of
different types of stair designs, especially those built out of
concrete. It's not very common to see a set of stairs built out of
concrete that used stringers.
Stringerless Stair Designs
In the building industry, architects are only limited to their
imagination or their ability to think outside the box. I can't believe
some of the stringerless stair designs that some of these designers come
up with.
To be honest with you, I don't even know if I could provide anyone with
an explanation of how some of them are actually built. As a matter of
fact, some of them look like they have invisible stair stringers,
holding them up.
