A teco clip is often referred to as a framing anchor and
is the most popular one I've ever used. It's made by Simpson and their
manufacturing product model number is A-35 and there have been millions
of these little guys installed within the past. The picture below
provides you with an excellent example of how they're used to connect
two individual building components together.

Teco Clip Installation Tips
The best piece of advice I could give anyone is to make sure that you're
using the correct nails and fill all of the holes. The one in the
picture above has six holes on each side, that's a total of 12 nails per
framing anchor.

You've probably heard me refer to this more than once, but if you're
going to use a product that was made by a manufacturer, you should read
their installation instructions. I know, that sounds like a lot of work,
but these are the people who make the product and know more about them,
than anyone else.
If the manufacturer recommends a specific nail and you don't use that
particular nail, it might not meet the engineers specifications. If this
happens, you could fail your framing inspections and find yourself in
the middle of one heck of a home-building nightmare.
