The uniform building code is a book filled with minimal
safety standards for a building. This book was created by a group of
construction experts, to provide property owners with safe buildings.
Remember, there are other building and safety code books that have also
been put together by other construction professionals and they usually
create problems, because all of them aren't always enforced in the same
way, by each community.
I've created a list of some of the most popular building
codes used by stair builders and enforced by building inspectors.
However, some of these building codes won't be used in your community.
You should always check with your local building and safety department,
for more information.
