| The cracked cement or chipped
concrete stair tread is caused by the metal reinforcement being to close
to the edge. The cement can't be to close to the metal because it has
nothing to bond to. The cement bonds to the other cement but will not
bond to the metal in such a small area. The metal reinforcement is in
the wrong position, it is to low and should have been centered more in
the stair tread.
